This equipment is designed to test leather resistance to water penetration: determination of water resistance of flexible leather (repeated linear compression).
The sample is immersed in water up to half of its outer face and will contain conductive elements connected to special sensors which dialogue to each of the working stations.
An acoustic signal will advise the operator at eventual water passage through the sample.

This special auxuliary unit to the waterproofness tester, determines the sample rigidity.
It is composed by a couple of cylinders of 30+/-0,5 mm diameter, mounted on their horizontal axis and driven by a special motion unit and a graduated gauge which will read the load applied along the cylinders axis, with 5N accuracy.
